About Us

Lamberto Art & Design is a company driven by the creative force of Lamberto, a renowned illustrator and innovative fine artist who has re-invented himself through acid stain concrete art, a medium that he is taking to new heights. Lamberto and his wife and partner, Elizabeth, pride themselves in surrounding their operation with many professional and essential players that make every custom job a success, from reputable home builders and contractors, to public relations and marketing gurus, to sales reps and other associates.

No matter how large or small the job, Lamberto will meet with you personally to discuss and plan the artistic vision of the project. If the job is large and complex, he will schedule a second visit with a specialized contractor to outline specific installation details. Lamberto also will work in conjunction with the client’s home builder, architect, developer, designer and/or contractor to assimilate the acid stained concrete art into the commercial development, new home or custom pool project.

No job is too small or too large for Lamberto Art & Design, but it has to be a good fit. Lamberto has produced a “fine art” feel with a medium that has traditionally been uniform and predictable. If you are looking for something daring, innovative, “on the edge” and, MOST importantly, designed especially for you, then Lamberto Art & Design is the perfect fit.

Work Process

The first step in beginning an acid stain concrete art project is to conduct an initial meeting to discuss the client’s budget, vision and “wish list.” During this very important step, we will determine what the client is envisioning in his or her home or business structure. The client will see examples of past jobs to help with the decision process, and sketches may be drawn to help visualize the “rough idea.”

One important point is that acid stain is translucent. Rather than covering the concrete slab with color, it creates a chemical reaction that transforms the color of the concrete itself. For existing concrete slabs, acid stain doesn’t cover up imperfections, it accentuates them. Therefore, when creating a vision for your acid stain art project, it is helpful to think of acid stain as an art form similar to watercolor art. The rougher the concrete (or the paper), the more exciting the final effects!

When creating his acid stain concrete art pieces, Lamberto sometimes forces the acid stain to puddle and form interesting color formations. This trait, however, is what makes every job unique, a challenge, and a real joy.

Every concrete slab has a different reaction to the same products and the same techniques. This unpredictability is also the source of the natural stone-like beauty of acid stain concrete art, and it is what makes this weather-proof medium so appealing and unique. In other words, perfection is not the goal, but rather uniqueness and originality; then, we are engaging in a real adventure that will bring your vision to life.

After the initial meetings, a proposal with two scenarios will be drafted and submitted to the client. When agreed upon, a contract and an advance is put into place.

Creative Process

Making a client’s vision into art begins with sketches and Photoshop enhanced images. This process will always be required for large and complex jobs that need detailed planning and approval.

A schedule is set in place if the job is to be done on site. For stand-alone custom jobs, work is done off site and an approximate date of completion is set.

When the job begins, the client can see the work in progress to allow for some personalization. Lamberto Art & Design wants every customer to be fully satisfied with our work. Professionalism, a good reputation and high ratings are important to us. Thank you for letting us share our vision with you and show you how to bring the natural elements to your home or business!
